Brendan Dowling

Brendan Dowling

A graduate of Yale University, USA, Brendan Dowling has over three decades of experience of Irish public policy analysis. Former Chief Economist and Head of Research at Davy Stockbrokers, he helped establish DKM in 1981. He has sat on the board of the Industrial Development Authority, the Irish Export Board and the Committee of the Irish Stock Exchange. Brendan has undertaken a wide range of assignments focussing on project appraisal and financing, and has published widely on economic policy issues. He rejoined DKM in 2006 and became Chairman of the firm.

Annette Hughes

Annette Hughes

Annette Hughes joined DKM in 1993, having previously worked for John Laing plc, BP Ireland and lectured in economics at the University of Limerick. She is a graduate of University College Cork and is a Director at DKM. Annette is an expert on the Irish construction and housing industries as well as on energy, with particular focus on their interactions with demographics and regional development. She has sat on and advised State boards and councils, including the National Competitiveness Council and latterly, FÁS, the national training agency. She has also acted as an expert witness in cases dealing with complex economic issues.

John Lawlor

John Lawlor

John Lawlor has been with DKM since 1997, prior to which he worked in the ESRI, and as an accountant for Avonmore Foods plc, Concern, and Coopers & Lybrand. He is an environmental economist and has published widely on environmental policy issues. He has extensive experience of project appraisal and the use of Cost Benefit Analysis, as well as of regional, transport, energy and land-use issues. John is a graduate of University College Dublin and is a Director of DKM.

Lorcan Blake

Lorcan Blake

Lorcan Blake is an economic consultant with DKM, and is primarily engaged in economic impact modelling, project appraisals and strategy reviews.  Lorcan has worked across a range of sectors including transport, construction, retail, health and tourism.  Prior to joining DKM, Lorcan worked in Bank of Ireland's Corporate Banking Department.  He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and Tilburg University in The Netherlands.

Daragh Mc Greal

Daragh Mc Greal

Daragh Mc Greal joined DKM in June 2016 as an economic consultant chiefly working across the disciplines of law and economics. He holds undergraduate, master’s and PhD degrees from universities in Ireland, Germany, and Israel. Internationally, Daragh has carried out consultancy work for several research centres, UN bodies, NGOs and law firms. Since returning to Ireland in 2014, Daragh has worked with two TDs in Leinster House and as a lecturer in UCD.

Ciara Morley

Ciara Morley

Ciara Morley has been an economic consultant with DKM since July 2016. Her main areas of interest are the macroeconomy and the Irish construction sector. Before joining DKM Ciara worked in the ESRI as co-author of the Quarterly Economic Commentary. In the interim she also lectured in finance and quantitative methods at Maynooth University and DIT Aungier Street. Ciara is a graduate of Maynooth University where she obtained her undergraduate, master’s and PhD degrees.
